About TERB

My name isn’t actually TERB, but it’s a nickname I got from some friends years ago. You may not have noticed, but Terb is the reverse of Bret, which was my high school nickname (after the wrestler Bret Hitman Hart).

Anyway, thanks for dropping by and checking out this blog, where I write about my favorite movies, websites, books etc. You may say that this blog is partly influenced by the song “My Favorite Things” from the musical, The Sound of Music.

My favorite book is The Chronicles of Narnia, but you won’t find me writing about it here. That’s because I created a separate blog for that, and you can check my Narnia blog here.

For any comments or suggestions, you may leave a comment here. Thanks for dropping by!

Hi Terb, Like your set up here and would love to do the same but can’t get started! I found your page while hunting for info on Roald Dahl for “his” visit to our school library tomorrow.

Thanks MrsH, I just realized that maintaining a blog (and I, uh, maintain 4 different blogs) is very time consuming, and it’s always nice to get comments from people like you. Let me know once you start your blog (which is hopefully soon).

Hi Terb! I was just googling ‘John Burkitt’, lol, to see what is new there under his name. He is my partner and the Love of my life, so naturally I was delighted to see your excellent review of his book, Byron On Wells. I remember him telling me about it on our lunchbreak a few months ago. He was deeply touched and so happy that someone appreciated his work that has been about 10 years in the making.
I copied your review to my computer and will upload it to our personal website to share with our friends.
As Bramble would say, “Thanks much, Ma’am!”

This is good. I like this place..lol. Like your choices too, even though I’m not familar with all. I’m “old”. *smiling” I came across your place whilst looking up “Twilight” stuff. I’m 44 and have 5 kids, three are girls, two love Twilight, as do I although I only started reading the series lately. I’m one of those moms that likes the books as much as the daughters…argh. But hey I admit it! Anyway I liked the way you wrote about Twilight, and I like your choice of fave books etc. Just thought I’d post it. :)

Hey Terb,

I love everything about your info on Twilight and I agree 100% about Robert looking good in some scenes and not so good in other. My fav is #14 and I was thinking the same thing about how he looks like another actor. I just watch Gone in 60 Seconds on TNT and I think I figured it out, its Timothy Olyphant. let me know what you think.

Admin - 21 June 2010

Sorry, I don’t really see the resemblance..:)

Hi,:) yup I love the Lord of The Rings It all started with a book called The Hobbit.Nope on the Jurrasic Park, there was a tv series called Arthur Conan Doyle’s The Lost World. It was about a group of people back in the 40′s I believe that were stranded on a very big Island where there was dinosaurs and other odditys,I think the BBC had created it.But it ran its course and left me at the end hanging I think they did not finish the very last episode :(.So I never got to find out what happened to Challanger,Lord Roxton, Margeritte and the rest.:(

Admin - 21 June 2010

The Lost World sounds quite interesting. I will try to look for it online.
