Heavenly Crepes at HEAVEN N’ EGGS 28 July 2008

To celebrate our 41st month together, Sid and I decided to try a new place for dinner at Eastwood City. However, when we got there, it was raining really hard and we couldn’t get to the other side or walk around without getting wet. We finally decided to eat at good old Heaven N’ Eggs since it was nearest to the parking lot. It also helped that the manager outside offered everyone passing by free appetizers to fill up their nearly empty place.

Unfortunately, since I wasn’t planning on writing about it in my blog, I don’t really remember everything we ordered and didn’t take pictures. I had some kind of breaded steak with mashed potatoes (yum) and vegetables. Sid was on breakfast mode and had ham and grilled tomatoes with garlic potatoes. I liked his order better because it reminded me a lot of my everyday breakfast at the Sturdy’s Castle in Oxford, England.

We’ve always liked the iced tea at Heaven N’ Eggs, but their mango crepe was by far the best I’ve ever tasted. The crepe was filled with two huge slices of sweet, ripe mango, and there’s a very delectable sauce of sweet cream and mango bits, plus a scoop of ice cream on the side. It cost Php180.00 but was worth every cent. Once I get to have mango crepe at Heaven N’ Eggs again, I’ll be sure to take a picture and post it here.

After having that scrumptious mango crepe, I had a huge craving over the weekend for more, so I tried the mango crepe at Pancake House, Frio Mixx and Crunchy Crepes (at the Foodpark in The Enterprise Center). The crepe at Heaven N’ Eggs is still the best.

In case you’re interested, here are the contact details of the branch we visited (which I got from the Internet, so I’m not sure of the accuracy): Heaven N’ Eggs Eastwood, Fuente Circle, Eastwood City, Quezon City, Philippines, telephone number (632) 912-1172.
